Thanks Billoo ... yes, it was the woman in the red jacket who got me when I saw this in a book, and that black, black pond/river in front of them ... her dark gaze and that black mirror ... & the brooding presence of something menacing, just off stage ... rippling through those trees. Back in NZ now, one stop from the end of the world, as they say (only one city beyond here, then, next stop Antarctica)... cheers, j...
